Hygge Introduction
Hygge (pronounced hoo-gah) is a Danish idea that says:
Comfort is not something you buy—it’s something you allow.
It’s the quiet moment at sunset, sitting indoors while the world slows down outside.
No notifications. No pressure to be productive.
Just you, a warm space, and the permission to do absolutely nothing important.
For many Americans, “doing nothing” can feel suspicious.
But Hygge gently insists:
If it feels calm, safe, and quietly joyful—then you’re doing it right.
Think soft light, simple surroundings, and time that isn’t trying to impress anyone.
That’s Hygge.
And yes, sitting still and watching the view totally counts as an activity.
